Hinged Screen Windows pass AS5039 and the other key performance tests — so you get a security window that actually opens, without compromising any of the protection when it’s closed.

Security (AS 5039-2008)
Six separate tests passed by the same sample: dynamic impact, jemmy, pull, probe, shear and knife shear. The multi-point locking keeps AS5039 compliance intact even on an opening screen.
Test 02
Bushfire (ForceField mesh)
With ForceField mesh, Hinged Windows meet bushfire-prone area requirements (AS 3959-2009) — corrosion-resistant mesh with openings under 2×2 mm.

Corrosion
AS 2331.3.1 (neutral) and AS 2331.3.2 (acetic acid) salt-spray tests. Both ForceField and Protec meshes pass, 1000 hours of salt spray, no signs of corrosion.
Test 04
Insect protection
The mosquito protection test measures ability to keep mosquitoes out over extended periods. Both mesh options pass — keeping bugs out while the screen is closed AND locked.

Access control
The whole point of Hinged Windows is deliberate access — keying locks alike across the home, supervised opening for cleaning or emergency, and zero accidental activation.

Corey was brilliant!! I recently had three security screen doors fitted to my new home. I chose the Prowler Proof doors with Forcefield mesh and they DO look great (the advertising was true - the welded corners look much better than jointed riveted frames). While slightly more expensive than other quotes it really seemed worth it for that difference. As a bonus, Corey was genuinely a pleasure to deal with... Knowledgeable, always friendly and helpful, as well as super fast and efficient when installing the new doors. Besides looking great, the doors also fit perfectly (closers included). I really appreciated his updates on the progress of my order, and the fast turnaround time on manufacturing. I will definitely be ordering more doors in future from Corey (I have two doors on an outbuilding that also need screens). Highly recommended.
