Prowler Proof Protec is smart security. Built in the Prowler Proof factory as an all-aluminium design with the famous welded, seamless corners. The mesh is a single aluminium sheet — perforated and powder-coated to the standards you’d expect.
The perforations are exactly the right size: small enough to keep insects out, large enough for excellent airflow and transparency. The mesh is joined to the heavy-duty aluminium frame in a process unique to Prowler Proof — so there are no dissimilar metals to corrode against each other.

Perforated aluminium mesh
1.81 mm thick black powder-coated perforated aluminium sheet. 2.5 mm holes — too small for mosquitoes, 39.2% open area for airflow and transparency. Reduces solar heat & UV, cuts winter heat loss.

High transparency
Perforations are small enough to keep insects out, but large enough to preserve the view and let the breeze in. Not the murky mosquito-haze of cheaper mesh.

Full perimeter bond
Aerospace-grade adhesive chemically bonds mesh to frame, eliminating galvanic corrosion and producing no visible deformation in the product.

All Prowler Proof Protec products come in 50 standard colours, with another 250 optional colours available. There’s no extra delivery time — and only a small premium — for optional colours. The frame and mesh can be matched or contrasted.
Australian Standard AS 5039
Only fresh air and daylight gets past Protec.
The six AS 5039 security tests — passed with ease. The 1,000-hour neutral and acetic acid salt-spray tests — not much of a challenge either. Mosquitoes and insects are kept out by the fine perforations.

Security (AS 5039-2008)
Six separate tests passed by the same sample: dynamic impact, jemmy, pull, probe, shear and knife shear. Protec passes all six with ease.
Test 02
Energy & UV
WERS and EN 14501 testing show Protec reduces solar heat and damaging UV light, and cuts heat loss in winter. The perforated aluminium does double duty as a solar shade.
Test 03
Corrosion
AS 2331.3.1 (neutral) and AS 2331.3.2 (acetic acid) salt-spray tests. 1000-hour spray with no signs of corrosion. All-aluminium means no dissimilar metals to fight each other.
Test 04
Insect protection
The mosquito protection test measures ability to keep mosquitoes out over extended periods. Protec’s 2.5 mm perforations are undersized for every Australian mosquito species.
Test 05
Fall prevention
NCC (BCA 2013) requires certain window openings to be screened to prevent child falls. Protec resists a 250 N outward horizontal action — window restrictors can be removed.

Access control
Optional accessories: keying locks alike, pet doors, and solid panels for wheelchair accessibility. Tested for consistent unassisted access.

Corey was brilliant!! I recently had three security screen doors fitted to my new home. I chose the Prowler Proof doors with Forcefield mesh and they DO look great (the advertising was true - the welded corners look much better than jointed riveted frames). While slightly more expensive than other quotes it really seemed worth it for that difference. As a bonus, Corey was genuinely a pleasure to deal with... Knowledgeable, always friendly and helpful, as well as super fast and efficient when installing the new doors. Besides looking great, the doors also fit perfectly (closers included). I really appreciated his updates on the progress of my order, and the fast turnaround time on manufacturing. I will definitely be ordering more doors in future from Corey (I have two doors on an outbuilding that also need screens). Highly recommended.
